    Description

    Up for auction are 2 Gail Wilson vintage collectibles:
    a finished 12” primitive molded doll AND a finished traditional 8” tall ladderback chair with “rush” style seat.
    Both were beautifully handmade from vintage Gail Wilson kits with wonderful details, such as the tiny buttons sewn on the back of the doll’s dress, and the nicely woven seat on the chair. The doll and chair were finished, using up the materials provided (molded head, hands, feet for the doll, and wood, glue, paint, and string for the chair.)  Included with the finished doll and chair are the instructions only and pattern pieces that were used to make the primitive doll clothes and hairstyle, and instructions only to make the ladderback chair.
    Both doll and chair are in clean, excellent condition, and as Gail Wilson described on her kit:
    “of all the appealing characteristics of early primitive dolls… the look and patina that time and wear lend to old things…make them so timeless today.”
