Back just in time for Mother’s Day!
Resting on a dusty shelf in the Blenko glass factory we found a mould for this Mother and Child Plaque. A Don Sheperd design from the 70’s and 80’s that was met with great intrigue. This free standing plaque based off of the famous painting by Duccio di Buoninsegna called "Madonna and Child" depicts a mother holding a child and measures approximately 7.5 inches x 7.25 inches. This large cast glass piece would make a great book end, or displayed against a window where it will dazzle in the light. It is our hope you enjoy this piece as much as we enjoy finding and sharing a small piece of Blenko's past!
